26 fridays, week 24, sky/clouds

we have had no clouds. in fact on some days it has been so grey it has seemed like there has been no sky at all.

just recently everyone i speak to is going or has just been somewhere else, mostly somewhere warm and beautiful, on a plane…

so this is not a beautiful sky but a sky filled with thoughts of other places. and just a little bit of longing.

next up is the lovely Ginger Haddock of Fernbird Photography in Casper, WY. USA. – somewhere else & far away.

Sara Kelly - Lili, I always love your images, and I love the way you turned this theme on its head. I can tell that the phrase, “some days it’s been so gray it’s like there was no sky at all” will be haunting me for a long time. I know that feeling, that longing.

linda - Hi Lili,
I love the solitude of this image and the feeling of endurance this renders. Grey skies day after day is SUCH a test for me…hang in the there, the light will come:)

pamela joye - what an interesting take on this. it’s honest. and filled with you. your hand. your eye. your longing. it’s strange how nothing is filled with every bit of something. i love the vastness of it all – minimal. lovely cloudless sky with one tiny plane. puts things in perspective.

Carrie - Lili, Here in Wyoming on Thanksgiving eve, the skies were filled with “plane lines” and I thought of all the people traveling for the holiday and myself had a deep sense of longing. This image immediately stirred that feeling inside of me. I just love it when a picture speaks to me like this one.
