26 friday/week23/abstract/dreamscape/veiled

i love the themes that we have covered this year and i had high hopes for this one, but of course life has me busy doing the daily stuff, sadly leaving less time for me to skip around creating dreamscapes with my camera. one of the things i love about being part of this group is the push it gives me to get out and shoot even when it feels like i have no time to.

my son Leaf ┬áloves getting involved with what i am shooting and often asks me what the theme is for the week, so this week i kind of just handed it over to him… ┬áhe chose where we went (Bushy Park), when (late afternoon) and what we were going to do. they are similar to things we have shot before, but that is us.

we got so lost in what we were doing that we mislaid the car and had to wander around in the dark looking for it. and whilst i watched him run across the park, chasing a deer, with my camera around his neck, in the near-dark, i realised i am going to have to get this boy his own camera. this next one is off the theme but all him.

pamela joye - how special this all is – that your boy is interested & that you share this together. i love the location he chose, the time of day and how he interpreted it. sorry you had to run around in the dark (and i want to see that one of him chasing the deer). and that last one – brilliant. will be very interesting to see what you do together when he has his own camera. xo

Sara Kelly - I admit that the last is my favorite, worth a good guffaw. And you know, I think the story makes the images this time. The image of you two running around in the dark, unable to find the car, trying to find dreamscapes and finally finding your ride. It’s a lovely vignette very fitting to the theme and your take on it.
