26 Fridays/Week 12/Black

I have been part of this group since the beginning of the year but this is my first “26 Fridays”post on this site. I cannot believe we are half way through.

Both the lovely Nick Drake and the not quite so melodious Winston Churchill spoke about dogs, black or black-eyed, symbolising with this their depression.

But my black dog smiles at me when we are out in the woods and just that makes everything good.

Sara Kelly - There’s something gripping about the focus in this one, Lili, and the exposure is just so for showing the contours of his face. A very tender portrait of a loved friend. (And your words always make me so anxious to scroll down and see your photo!)

Linda - Lili, I LOVE this image so much for many reasons. I grew up with a black lab and wish I had an image like this of him. I love the penetrating look in his/her? eyes, so much love and loyalty. I want to call to him:))
